Rotated screen leads to black screens when switching

When I switch from my mobile to the docked profile all screens except the rotated one go black. I'm running Arch with i3. The laptop is a Dell Latitude 7400 and I have 2 monitors, the right one is rotated to the right. I configured the layout in arandr and then created the profiles in autorandr.

I have a similar problem with my Dell Precision 5570 and a 4K screen. When I boot to the desktop and then connect the docking station via Thunderbolt, the laptop screen goes off and my 4K screen turns on, but I only see the mouse cursor on a completely black screen - no panels, no desktop, nothing. I'm not sure, if autorandr actually loads the assigned profile for this setup at all.

Environment: Ubuntu 22.04 + Cinnamon desktop, WD22TB4 docking station, HDMI cable -> 4K

Same problem here, I discovered that switching to fb (ctrl+alt+F2) and back to the desktop "solves" the problem. Could be an issue of bombarding xrandr with too many things at the same time. I wish autorandr didn't mask xrandr commands so I could review them.

My system is Manjaro and i3 desktop.
