systemd/udev vs autorandr-launcher
Hi again!
I'm wondering if systemd/udev integration can be used side-by-side with autorandr-launcher.
Additionally, I'm wondering whether it makes sense to have a udev rule that calls a systemd system service or autorandr as root, as X11 might have been started by the user (rootless X11).
What use case do you have in mind for running them side by side? Both attempt to do the same thing. (But for some people one is more stable than the other.. for a majority of the folks commenting here that seems to be the x11 helper)
Sorry, bad wording: I was wondering if these can be installed side-by-side, but let the user choose which one to use. From what I'm understanding, this would not be possible, as a vendored udev rule would trigger as soon as it's installed.
Ah, correct then. I'm not aware of a udev equivalent of systemd's enabled/disabled services.. if you have an idea for how I can help from the upstream side let me know!
(I guess I'd go with installing neither but moving them to a docs folder instead, or making this a flag in the package for source packages)
