I have the same issue running tofi with no inputs or arguments results in tofi just running forever

you can do killall tofi in a separate terminal to kill tofi

Idk if you still have the issue or not, but this is happening to me also. So, I just run tofi-drun or tofi-run instead of just tofi. It fixed it.

Same here (hyprland too), it also takes over the keyboard so I can't type anything. Only happening on empty stdin. echo test | tofi works as intended.
