Add an option to disable the "Vimium has been updated" notifications

Starting with Vimium 2.x, I'm now seeing a version update notification on each of my installed instances of Vimium (across several computers and several accounts). Would it be possible to remove this notification? For me, it creates a lot of noise and isn't delivering value relative to its annoyance, particularly when there is a flurry of bug-fix releases that require no action on my part.

If some users are getting value out of these update notifications, consider instead adding an option to disable this notification.

Hey Matt, Vimium should not be showing an upgrade notification when the patch version changes (e.g. 2.0.2 -> 2.0.3) -- an upgrade notification is only shown when the major version changes (2.0.0 -> 2.1.0). I just tested this myself in developer mode and confirmed it's the case, unless I'm missing something. Can you confirm you're seeing notifications between patch versions?

Second, it seems reasonable to me to add a setting to disable the notification for people who don't want to see it. I've added a "help wanted" label to this issue.

I have multiple browsers installed with Vimium, and they update the extensions at different times. I muted the OS notification sound.

What is the purpose of the OS level notification? This is the only browser extension (of the 15 I have installed) that does this.

If it only is to remind people that a new version is out. Then a less intrusive method would be to show a colored dot on the Vimium toolbar button. And when the button is pressed, show a link on the Vimium window, maybe at the bottom.

It could say something like: Updated to 2.1.0, what's new?

Hi Phil -- I guess I had assumed I received point-release notifications because I saw several notifications across several accounts and browsers, and each showed a different version. So I think it just appeared to be point-release notifications from my perspective.
