Disable ctrl-key shortcuts?

How do I disable ctrl based shortcuts? I'm trying to disable the ctrl-e shortcut, I've tried adding a rule with , c-e, ctrl-e, , ^e, <^e> but none disable the shortcut. What am I doing wrong?

You may add unmap <c-e> to Custom key mappings and click Save Options
