can't save changes to preferences (using firefox on mac)

Open levigutt opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug I can't save changes to preferences.

After adding customizations, or even just comments, I see no way of saving it.

The bottom of the page says "No changes". Pressing Ctrl+Enter does not seem to do anything. I've tried Cmd+Enter too, since I am on Mac - this also does nothing.

To Reproduce

  1. go to manage addons about:addons
  2. click Preferences for vimium
  3. add text to any text field
  4. At this point, the bottom still says "No changes" and Ctrl+Enter (or Cmd+Enter) does nothing
  5. leaving preferences
  6. go back to preferences, and changes are gone

I was having this same issue along with some other functionalities not working on a mac using the latest Firefox developer version and I removed Vimium and re-added it and everything seems to be working like it should.

The screenshot you showed has a lot of other stuff missing that should be there by default that I was also missing, such as the advanced options button, so removing and re-installing should restore all those missing options for you as well.

Good luck and let me know if that worked for you because there is something else you could try that should fix it if re-installing doesn't.
