How to open specific URL in current tab?

Open jwav opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Using Vimium 1.67 in Brave.

I'd like to set a shortcut for "open <URL> in current tab". For instance : "open www.google.com in current tab". Obviously, without having to type the URL. It has to be a preset URL, indicated in the Vimium config.

The createTab command opens a specific URL in a new tab and switches to this new tab, but there doesn't seem to be a command to do the same thing in the current tab.

Is there a command for that, or at least a way to bodge it?

@jwav

As you mentioned, there wouldn't be no command of vimium for opening some URL in current tab.

So, how about using Brave's default shortcut? https://defkey.com/brave-browser-shortcuts

It seems like "Alt Home".

@kay-adamof > No, I'm aiming for something completely different. I'm going to edit my question to remove some potential ambiguity.
