OpenLDAP does not work; No logs

I followed the instructions and put the files in /include/plugins/multi-ldap.

After setting up configs in the frontend I cannot get anything to work, but allas pressing "check connection" it says successfull.

Note that I can use the normal os-ticket auth-ldap plugin to authenticate openldap-users without issue.

I might just have trouble using a correct configuration, since the documentation isn't that verbose. Am I supposed to use this plugin with auth-ldap? Do I disable auth-ldap? I also seem to be lacking any and all forms of logging, I have enabled verbose logging for my instance and I get zero logs, neither can I seem to find any of the pages of the screenshots like lookup and the cn-field binding screen
