Okay, I have added support for text alignment in the style sidebar for nodes, connections and callouts. This feature will be available when Minder 2.0 is released.

You can always change the layout to manual and then you can put the sub nodes wherever you would like.

I have spent some time thinking about this request. I'll leave it as a future feature request, but it got me to thinking about creating a new feature called "sequences"....
I have the implementation of sequences committed to the master branch. This will be available in the 1.17.0 upcoming stable release.
