What can be done about this?

I don’t know at the moment. I am unable to reproduce this.

In flathub page it says version 1.12.5 but com.github.phase1geo.minder --version says 1.9.2 Confusing. And will odin update make into flathub? Edit: Ok, flatpak info com.github.phase1geo.minder reports 1.12.5 resim

Tried on a fresh user but same.

Out of curiosity, have you tried running version 1.13.1? I don't know if anyone has updated the flathub version yet.

phase1geo avatar Aug 14 '21 11:08 phase1geo

Oh, flathub is updated. Will try asap.

Beryesa avatar Aug 14 '21 16:08 Beryesa

Any luck?

phase1geo avatar Aug 16 '21 01:08 phase1geo

It says nothing to do on my machine, and reports the latest version. idk maybe it's auto-updated? Anyway it still crashes badly :(

Beryesa avatar Aug 16 '21 15:08 Beryesa

What does 'flatpak run com.GitHub.phase1geo.minder --version' output?

phase1geo avatar Aug 16 '21 17:08 phase1geo

No capital G on github.

phase1geo avatar Aug 16 '21 17:08 phase1geo

Or H for that matter (auto-correct)

resim In flathub info version 1.12.5, --version was reporting 1.9.2 (see above) Now in flathub info version still says 1.12.5, --version reports 1.12.5 Flathub.org says latest release is 1.13.1 and there is no update available on my machine. At this point should I compile it from source 😄

Ok, run .app install, had some missing dependencies even though I did apt build-dep minder  Anyway after installed missing ones, It works perfectly except it has the system theme which looks eh, strange. Scaling issue is gone, Yay! I guess flathub versions are old&broken.

I got some fails from gdk saying wayland but it is fine & native and some from gtk but not sure about this resim

I guess I have to report it to flathub then.

If you have the latest source, you could try building your own flatpak with './app flatpak'. You might want to uninstall the previous Flatpak just to make sure there isn't any cruft. The Flatpak will be based on the elementary runtime, so you will need to install that before getting it to work. The elementary developer getting started documentation tells how to get that installed.

Can reproduce this bug in Flathub build. In short: Elementary apps on Flathub may be EOL soon since no one interesting to update io.elementary.BaseApp. Discussion here https://discourse.flathub.org/t/distributing-runtimes-and-sdk/1640
