Hi,

Nice job, annotator is a nice tool.

But I switched to ubuntu 24.04 and when I save the image, it stay with low quality, and there isn't image and resolution configurations anymore.

export

Best regards

I'm wondering if Ubuntu's Debian or Snap package of Annotator is out of date. I only expressly support the Flatpak builds of Annotator and don't control which versions of tools are installed on various platforms or packaging systems. I would probably recommend that you download and build Annotator for source and give that a try.

I know the annotator is cool, but I can't install without this problem on Ubuntu

Do you recall what image format you were attempting to export the image as? PNG? JPEG? Other? I'd like to get to the bottom of this issue before I get a new release of Annotator made.

I think such blurry images are the result of the default JPEG quality being set to 0 and not, for example, 90.

The intention was to default the JPEG image quality to 90; however, it looks like there is a coding issue that is defaulting it to 0 instead. I will get that issue fixed. In the meantime (as suggested by @qkiel ), the issue can be fixed by adjusting the "Quality" value to something like 90.

I have fixed the issue with the defaults not being set properly in export settings. The fix has been committed to the master branch and will be available in 2.0.1.
