Change statistics charts from bar/column charts to histogram

In the detailed statistical data for IRIDA the bar charts currently show a single day underneath them:

It's not as immediately obvious that the counts for each day are meant to represent the counts for a specific date range (e.g., I think 02/24 represents counts for 02/24 - 02/27).

For counts for date ranges I think a histogram is a more appropriate plot type (that is a bar chart where counts are associated with a date range instead of a single day). For example, here is a histogram I have for the CARD:Live data (https://bergen.mcmaster.ca/cardlive/):
