page numbers doubled on .kepub files
Whenever I upload a regular epub to be converted, send it to my device and then start reading, I notice that the kepub file is nearly double the size of the actual book. Is there any way to fix this? I want to read the kepub file as it has more room for customization, but don't want my reading statistics to be skewed because the book is "longer" on my device.
If you are referring to the file size, KEPUBs are inherently larger due to the added koboSpans.
If you are referring to the page count, KEPUBs use a different algorithm for counting pages. This is not controlled by kepubify.
I think this is the same issue as this
I am still getting double page counts on converted epubs. the epub in the reader shows the correct page count but when converted to kepub it doubles.
the pages then go from 0 to half way through the page count on the next page. 0 - 500 - 501 - 502 - 503 ....... 1000 the percentage read is correct but trying to navigate around chapters is off
