psql in pgAdmin on Windows lags when typing

Describe the bug

psql in pgAdmin on Windows is not working as expected. The typed characters are lagging.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 10
  • pgAdmin version: 9.8
  • Mode: Desktop
  • Package type: Exe installer

The pywinpty version is pinned to an older version and cannot be upgraded till the above mentioned issue is fixed.
