Some questions to help us diagnose this: - Does the CPU usage increase over time, or is it like that right away? - Are there any symlinks in your site?...
Increasing over time makes me think "memory leak", which could be triggering a lot of GCs. Could also be some kind of state that accumulates and then does needless work....
