If KeepShare fails to auto-match, there is no way to login as an entry cannot be manually chosen.
There are 2 issues in this report: 1) No way to manually select an entry if the match fails and 2) How to handle cases where App and PC differ in addresses?
There might be a way around this, but I don't know how. If the android app login match information is slightly different than the PC, KeepShare fails to match. This might be OK, if I were allowed to select an entry manually, but once the match fails, you're dead.
Here's an example. I have others. I have a valid KeePass login information stored for a specific site. This site is accessed by the URL: http://venstar.skyportcloud.com. However, this vendor provides an android app and when KeepShare attempts to match, it displays the following prompt: "Would you like to search for 'air.com.venstar.skyport'?"
Using Keepass2Android, it also searches for the same string, but allows for a "Select Entry" option. I had to use this program to open my application. I'm guessing that I can add the 2nd string to the keepass database for searching, but I need to figure out how.
Well, this is interesting. It says that it is searching for air.com.venstar.skyport, but in the failure message, it says: android-package://skyport.venstar.com.air Not sure why the search and failure modes are different, but in general, the terms are simply reversed.
Also, I've found that simply adding the search string to the Notes field in KeePass solves the 2nd URL issue. I added the string starting with air.... and this did not work. But when I added the failure string "skyport.venstar.com.air" to the notes field, it matched.
The search for "android-package:" is what is important, that is what needs to be added to your notes field. You can also set it as the title or url field for the entry
Alternatively, you can create a new entry with a username/password reference pointing to the source entry. Currently, this would need to be done on the desktop.
Something along these lines: Create a new entry, set the title or url field to the app you want to fill, click the tools button, choose "Insert Field Reference" -> "In User Name Field"
Repeat for Password and any other fields you want to reference.

Also, if you use form-fill, you can manually search--the keyboard doesn't have this option at the moment (I avoid using the keyboard so it receives relatively little love)

(And I avoid it because it's inconvenient, not because it has issues)

I have enabled form fill, but, don't know how it works. It is also enabled under the androil settings too. The only way I can get a login to work is to switch keyboards. What step am I missing?
Probably need to reboot, sometimes accessibility services fail to run at the OS level

Ok. I rebooted. Didn't seem to help with Venstar (a wireless thermostat app). However, I tried other apps: craigslist and tivo and both worked ok. No match, but I could search. Interesting is that the vestar app is not recognized for autofill. Even killed it and tried multiple times adter getting the others to work. Thoughts?
It's possible that the app you're having trouble with isn't using a password field, but something made to look like a password entry. In that case, it cannot be detected

Works for me:
If you're using Android 4.x it may not work because it appears to be a Web view

Possibly, but I did notice that it shows the keepass2android lock symbol when I click in the password field. That app does detect it for autofill. I see the same behavior for tivo app, but on that one KeepShare also fires up.
At this point, I'm just sharing. If you want me to try anything let me know. We've worked thru the main issues.
