Normal mapping triangle artefacts on curved geometry

Our default "perturb normal" algorithm for normal maps is struggling with curved surfaces. screen shot 2018-08-22 at 15 05 38

Providing CPU calculated tangents improves the results immensely screen shot 2018-08-22 at 15 05 42 .
