Tapo P110 not working after firmware update.

Open Jugom opened this issue 1 year ago • 16 comments

I woke up today to 3 of my 4 P110 plugs not working on Home Assistant. Opened the Tapo app and noticed the one still working had a firmware update. Updated it and as expected it stopped working too.

Current Firmware is 1.3.0 Build 230905 Rel. 152200 Current TC version: v.2.11.0

Naturally I've now disabled automatic firmware updates for the future.

Cheers

EDIT: Can confirm. Updating HA Core to 2023.11.3 got them working again.

Hi Jugom, Same issue, can you try to reload the devices in Settings? I think that the plugin is not able to reconnect when for some reason the connection is lost, maybe cause the firmware update.

Hi, same here since last night... Firmware is 1.3.0 Build 230905 Rel. 152200 too Home Assistant 2023.1.7 Error tapo exception: Returned unknown error_code: 1003

reload didn't fix this issue... :(

Hi,

same problem with me, all my Tapo plugs are offline in the Home Assistant since I did the firmware update to 1.3.0 this morning. Restarting all my components has not changed anything.

Can confirm, problem also exists here since the (automatic) update. Current version = 1.3.0 Build 230905 Rel. 152200

@MapleBZH Thanks for the headsup, also updated integration to latest (HACS store, v2.11.0) and now its working again!

Update to TC 2.11.0 worked for me too. Thanks!

Switching plugs on/off works for me after the update, but some sensors are unavailable. Restarting HA and the plugs didn't help unfortunately.

Are these still work in progress? image

The overheat was a fix in a previous release https://github.com/petretiandrea/home-assistant-tapo-p100/pull/528 It is now shown as the one in the Diagnostic section of your screenshot. Current energy has I think been correctly replaced with Current Power. These aren't related to the issue you saw but just updates to the integration

You must update to the latest version of this integration which supports new KLAP protocol of tapo

petretiandrea avatar Nov 27 '23 07:11 petretiandrea

error 1003 is due to switch to klap protocol, please update the integration

Hi, I can see that many of my P110s have firmware updates pending. If I am on V2.12, is it safe to update the firmware now to 1.3? I've also noticed that some of my newer P110s are appearing together under the 1 entry in the list of Tapo devices, some of them have multiple Integrations listed: Tapo Devices .

Had the same issue with 3 P115's that updated to FW1. 3 Updating the Integration and restarting fixed it for me.
