No way to sort characters

I have a lot of characters and Evemon display them in random order. Its to hard to find needed. Please implement a feature for sorting characters by name (on overview and on tabs). And search function also will be good idea!

hummm....I wonder, who could have use for so many characters that sorting is needed.....not suicide ganking by any chance?

I'm voting on making the character screen smaller (and non-resizable), only allowing the display of a single character at the time, and with a non-optional timer-based random resorting of the characters :)

Characters can already be reordered by clicking and dragging the tabs. Is this ask for an automated button to sort characters in some fashion?

1. This works strange.
2. This no way if you have 20+ characters.

Also you can not sort Overview.

@combin , If you want to sort in Overview go to the Manage Characters option in the File tab and deselect all then add them back one at a time in the order you want. At least that worked for me..

if you're having trouble accessing all your tabs (I have 20 and can see all in full screen o.0 ) then use the "Restore Down" button on the top right to take the program out of full screen then you should see all tabs wrapped.

FYI 'Sorting' seems' to put characters with an active training queue on top of the list in the overview tab. The sorting order of the remaining pilots is not clear (if I where to guess it looks like sorting on ISK).

@wvdvegt There is an option in setting to change the Overview so your characters stay in order even when they have active training queues.

For my case need sorting by name. Any other criteria also good. I thought a little and think search by name also solve for my problem.

This function does exist - drag the tabs in the main window into the order you wish. This informs the order in which they display on the Overview tab.
