[BUG] MobileReply Keyboard bug

Open BDudely opened this issue 13 years ago • 7 comments

When replying to a message by the MobileReply method most of the time when I'm typing on the keyboard, it will select items behind the keyboard. Also the keyboard can be a bit laggy.

the keyboard works fine imo ( no lag, 3Gs 4.3.2 here ), but my problem is that after sending the reply via quickreply, the keyboard animation doesn't work ( visually the keyboard is there, but in fact im selecting the icons or options behind it )

re-spring fixes this issue, but i don't want to respring everytime i quickreply.

Hmm, this stinks. I use some private UIKit keyboard control C APIs to show and hide the keyboard manually. More error checking would be good.

I have the same issue, this also happened to me while using Tlert. It seems as if the keyboard loses its first responder status and it will lose keystrokes as well as perform the corresponding touch action behind the keyboard as described.

@peterhajas have you experienced the bug where objects are selected behind the keyboard?

the same-thing happens to me too; after the message sends, the keyboard is stuck on the screen..

even if we dont send any message ( if we dismiss the alert ) the keyboard stucks there too.... its very annoying...

at least make an option to avoid the quickreply feature... respringing after every sms received its annoying ( normally i don't open anymore with quickreply, i just go directly to the app :\ )

I am not having the issue of the keyboard being stuck, please report this issue elsewhere
