[Bug] Clicking and holding a window will remove it from tiling, setting is turned off

Open kolemcrae opened this issue 10 months ago • 4 comments

Karousel version: 0.11 Plasma version: 6.3.1 X11 / Wayland: Wayland

Description:

Since a recent update, not sure of what, when I click and hold on a window it removes it from tiling. This happens when I just happen to hold a bit long. It makes the window float and I have to use key commands to stack it , then unstack it, to fix the issue.

I double checked the setting "untile windows by dragging them" and it is turned off. I tried turning it on, turning karousel off (hitting apply), then turning it off and starting it again - this didn't work.

System reboot also doesn't help, but hey, I tried.

What happens if you do the following:

  1. Disable "untile windows by dragging them"
  2. Move a window by dragging it
  3. Open a new window

Does the dragged window stay where you've dragged it or does it move back to its tiled position?

Sorry, I am bad about responding!

This seems to be fixed. Not sure what fixed it, but testing now works as expected.

It seems I have the same issue. This would have been great addition if you could just put it back in tiling by dragging again/ dragging near corners.

I agree, I like karousel better than krohnkite bc of the tiling model but I do miss being able to adjust the layout with my mouse as well. you can resize but the lack of movement is pretty noticable
