ON-OFF is not working for Sonoff Basic in Home Assistant

Hello,

I just installed this add-on in my Home Assistant. My Sonoff Basic switches firmware and Android Mobile app are fully updated.

But, the on-off toggle switches are not working in Home Assistant! Button toggle works but no effect.

Pls suggest?

@iosoft I think that this is related to a bug in the firmware and not in this addon. What is your FW version? I've got 5 pcs Sonoff Basic R3 yesterday, and installed them. I configured all with ON-OFF setting and everything worked brilliantly.

Now, nothing can be perfect if FW is not up to date (all had 3.3.0), so I couldn't resist but start accepting update to 3.5.0 eWelink was offering. At first, I applied the update for two of them, and luckily immediately after noticed that ON-OFF for those two stopped working. Now out of 5 devices, on two ON-OFF is broken, both with new 3.5.0 FW. I assumed it's bug in new version and I've decided to keep other 3 on old FW as I really need ON-OFF. I was going to fill the bug report to Sonoff.

Mind you, these are my first Sonoff devices, so before today I didn't even know this project here existed. I was just going to set it up with my HA, and decided to take a look at the issues.

@kocsis-antal Can you please share with us FW version you have? I bet it's below 3.5.0.

@zalcock Probably the same problem (see my post above yours) although your post is a bit unclear. It would be good to get it confirmed by OP @iosoft .

Then it's a good Idea to fill a bug report to Sonoff.

Hello I am facing the same problem, since a couple of days. I can change on off in the app , but not in Home assistant, (Version 9.7) I have about 15 sonoff basics (Version 3.6.0) installed to mange my lights ( cant update them to tasmato) is there any other option not using the app integration?

I just played a bit, its intresting I can switch light on on ewilink and the change reflects on Home assistant mean ing the switch shows light on, but i can not chnage anything within HASS..
