Missing depth() method in Matrix

Having installed successfully on a Raspberry Pi, I'm doing some playing now.

I'm trying to run some sample code, which uses the depth() method on the Matrix object. It seems that this method is missing. I'm using OpenCV 2.4.9. Should the depth() method exist, or is perhaps my sample code from OpenCV 3.0 or something like that?

I'm also trying to find color depth. @pdr0663, did you find a work-around?
