not a major issue but with the command running and scrolling with either wheel the light on the mfd goes off and on dims and un-dims. with the command off the mfd light is fine. like i said not major but a nuisance. thanks for the awesome program though :)

Hi Mckillian123,

Interesting. I actually observed this myself during the weekend, but I attributed it to overheated hardware on my part, due to the warm weather. I completely agree that it's super annoying, but would it be OK if I don't work on it immediately?

There's no way for my code to interact with the light level of the MFD (and it isn't trying to), so it will be quite annoying to try to figure out what's going on.

I also experience this, but honestly wasn’t sure if it was related to this application or just Logitech’s terrible handling of the Saitek drivers and software. But now that you’ve mentioned it, it definitely only happens during ED when I’m running this in the BG. I second the sentiment that this is a minor nuisance, but is not otherwise a big deal.

Hi all,

This doesn't appear to be a new issue, nor exclusive to my software, sadly:

The best I can come up with is to go into the game controller settings in Windows (where you can set up deadzones and calibrate, not the Logitech/Saitek programming software) and adjust the brightness of the MFD. I twiddled around and set mine at the second-to-last mark on the scale, which seems to have solved it, at least temporarily.

i have tried to shut the lights off in joy.cpl and just dimming them and the lights still fade up and down with the mfd wheels. it's not flickering. i've had a x52 that did do that and this is different, it's like rotating a dimmer switch in a car or home light switch but with random results one click of the wheel may dim slightly the next shut the light off the next full bright but with zero pattern. like i said in the initial post not end of the world just a nuisance. and no rush, it could just be a quirk type thing and im ok with that the program it self is supper helpful and awesome to have thank you again for all the hard work that has gone into this :)

I just want to chime in to say I have the same issue, but I also noticed that in addition to the screen flickering, the toggle buttons can sometimes flicker as well. It also seems that the scroll sometimes skips pages or something, sometimes it may show the number of bodies in the system, but sometimes it might not. It is a bit weird and requires me to scroll up and down a few times till it shows the right info. I recorded it on a video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIL1c4cjsXE

So I may have found a potential solution for this problem. This was occurring to me, however I downgraded the software version to 8.0.132.0 and for now that seems to have solved the issue. The MFD light no longer appears to flicker, however it remains to be seen if this is only temporary or if it stays fixed. Just thought I'd share my experiences for anyone else.
