Generating a Christmas Card with OpenAI::API and LWP
Which Perl module do you want to write about: OpenAI::API and LWP.
I haven't fully fleshed this idea out, but the goal will be to have the user enter a short thematic idea and their OpenAI key. The advent script will then go to ChatGPT's text generator, generate an appropriate prompt for a christmas card, and then pass this prompt back to OpenAI to generate a PNG image of the card.
This sounds great @lstein. We are looking forward to it!
Hello! This is your mid-November reminder that Advent is fast approaching. The first articles will go live in less than 3 weeks. We are very much looking forward to preparing your article for publication. If you could update this ticket with an ETA for your first draft that would be very helpful when it comes to planning ahead for editing, proofreading etc. 🌲🤶🎅🧝
Oh dear. This slipped off my radar -- there was a shakeup at my workplace and I'm now holding two jobs at once. Can I promise this for end of November?

Hi Lincoln. That sounds stressful. 😬 End of November would be great, but we can also do early December seeing that you've got a lot on your plate. Maybe try for Dec 10?
Hi,
I’ve written the code and am ready to start the write-up itself. Could someone direct me to instructions for formatting and submitting the advent entry?
Thanks,
Lincoln

If you run into any issues with the article creation (and after), please do ping me here. We want to make sure the process is fairly low in friction.
Thanks for this article @lstein!
You're welcome!
