                                    Neatline copied to clipboard

Expose Neatline items to to the Search API
Currently Neatline records are not exposed to the main search system for Omeka. It would be nice if these items (which may, or may not be derived from Omeka items) be exposed through the search interface. See https://omeka.readthedocs.org/en/latest/Tutorials/bestPracticesPlugins.html#search
I'd say the same, too, for Neatline Exhibits.
Yep.
This could be handled from Neatline's side, or we could add default plugins for these in SolrSearch. Thoughts?

I think it's a good idea to do both; not sure everyone who's using Neatline will implement SolrSearch.
+1
+1, we would very much like to have users be able to search through Neatline data.
This should be really easy - I think we'd just have to initialize the Search model mixin in the NeatlineRecord and NeatlineExhibit classes.
It will be very useful if you add some plugin for this purpose (allow searching Neatline in full-screen mode). At this moment I have hundreds of records (and they’re growing) in my exhibit and it will be very hard for users to find one they’re interested in.
