former links on targets from subsequently deleted highlights still display

If you make a text highlight, and then link it to other text highlights, and then delete that original text highlight, the former links still display on the rollover for the target text highlight, even though they now do not point to anything. See image for example I just created, around 9:10AM CST on May 5.

What should be happening is when the highlight is deleted, any links associated with it are then also deleted. I am pretty sure that that is the way this used to work. Otherwise, well, you then have a bunch of ghost links being created.

This does not happen consistently - I just did the same action, and deleting the the highlight did delete the associated links as well. I've not hand deleted the "ealdum bocerum ys gereht" ghost link in the example above, so it can be found and assessed if that is useful.
