Metric Summary should have at least option to be in JSON format

The Log4jSink (now name changed, forget what it is now) output in tab delimited format. This was presumably thought to be useful, but real world uses I've struggled a lot mining the data.

Given python has very nice JSON support built in, and it generally being a very human readable format, I would think it best to at least have it as an option to be output in JSON format (perhaps leaving the default as is).
