gen_dvc output incompatible with dvc run command

I'm following the use-case 1 tutorial and got to this step:

gen_dvc -w . -i ./poc/pipeline/steps/mlvtools_01_extract_dataset.py

The generated command does not appear to populate anything for the -n argument, which appears to be required. FWIW I'm using DVC version: 1.1.10

Thanks for reporting the issue.

DVC 1.x has broken the backward compatibility, and mlvtools hasen't been ported to DVC 1.x. We're currently discussing it, to figure out what we want to do about that.

Is there any update regarding this issue? Has any decision been taken regarding updating mlvtools to work with the latest version of dvc?

@BioGeek we've decided to give Papermill a try, so we have no plan to update mlvtools to DVC 1.x for the moment.
