Lots of system log entries for recent Gnome release in Opensuse

Description

Recent releases have been creating numerous system journal entries of the types shown below. It started about a month ago.

opensuse tumbleweed (20240919) linux 6.10.9-1-default x86_64 gnome 46.0 wayland

In both cases the journal entries cease when the plugin is disabled.
