Display issue with Coot on extended displays (macOS, Tahoe/XQuartz)
Dear Coot team, As Tahoe is phasing out XQuartz, I have started using Coot-1xxx (I have to start anyway). However, I have noticed a display issue when running Coot with extended displays on macOS. On my internal display, the molecule is correctly centered, but when I move the Coot window to an external monitor, the molecule shifts off to the upper right corner of the window. This makes it difficult to work on external displays.
Is there a known workaround or fix for this behavior?
Thank you for your help, Jean-Marie
This issue has taken a lot of my time. I don't know how to fix it automatically, but you can try a menu item I have provided:
Draw → View → Scale Up Graphics (or Down maybe).
YES! Scale Down works (just need a few clicks to get the molecule centered). Thanks a ton — I guess I’ve officially run out of excuses not to use COOT-1 😅
Cheers, JM
