Trying to use Kstars and Skychart but windows are out of bounds
Hello,
First of all, brave for this product. It might help a lot if it works, replacing a vnc usage for my purpose. But, unfortunately when I try to use one of the 2 apps Kstars and Skychart which are extended planetarium I have some troubles. The windows borders appears out of the screen limits. And unfortunately some function are located in the hidden part of the window. Is there any way to handle the windows placement in the screen space ?
Thanks
Patrick
Did you launch a window manager on XSDL, like metacity or xfwm4? Windows won't have borders without window manager.
You can try to resize these windows on your PC, then launch them on XSDL. On Jun 26, 2015 12:01 AM, "djinnrhode" [email protected] wrote:

You can also try to tap the screen when XSDL starts, and select bigger resolution and smaller font size. On Jun 26, 2015 12:40 AM, "Sergii Pylypenko" [email protected] wrote:

Hello Sergii, Kstars or Skychart run on a distant Lubuntu miniPC. What I want to do is to use something different than Vnc to get a deported desktop on an android device. I tried different solutions with differents resolutions and character size but I have got the same result every time. Best regards Patrick

Hello Sergii,
All works fine. You were right, I need a window manager to handle the windows. I have installed metacity on the remote and launched it. All is perfect. I need now to automatize all the process with script. Is ssh necessary ? Because I want to use a script to launch each app automatically and the need to enter a password with ssh prevents to do it.
Best regards.

You can use sshpass to enter password in a script, or set up SSH certificates. On Jun 26, 2015 8:32 AM, "djinnrhode" [email protected] wrote:
