Diagonal pattern on white screen
When I enable the 50% pattern on my 1st gen moto x, I get a kind of diagonal pattern on white areas. The upper part is darker than the lower part. It stays stationary when the screen is scrolled.
I hope the pattern is visible on the Screenshot.
50% enabled:

Off - all is good and in the same white tone.

At least when clicking the images I can still see the pattern/ a difference.
Looks perfectly okay to me. Did you try to open your screenshot on some other device, or PC? Do you have the same issue in landscape screen orientation? On Mar 30, 2016 11:30 PM, "maulwuff" [email protected] wrote:

It is also visible in landscape, but with additional horizontal lines. I think I have to take a photo to make it visible.
Amyway, it seems that's an issue with display hardware. LCD displays generally suffer some issues with checkerboard pattern.
Try some display tests in different orientations:

But Moto X has an amoled display.
Okay. Anyway, the screenshot is fine on my screen, and I cannot fix your screen hardware. Try to set a custom pattern with only horizontal or vertical lines instead of the checkerboard.

Please have a look and a click on the first screenshot. The exact same pattern is visible on a LCD, too. You have to look at it at 100%. Please don't tell me my monitor is also broken...
This is what I see on my phone with a completely white image:
portrait:

landscape:

I admit I was wrong - I've opened the screenshot on PC, and indeed there is diagonal line. White pixels have value 246,246,246 on the left, and 250,250,250 on the right. Black pixels have value 8,8,8 on the left and 4,4,4 on the right. I'll try to improve this.
