In my case (hp Omen laptop 15-dcxxxx), I had to reboot to see the changes. Maybe that has to do with the fact that I have not set LIvepatch. Before the system reboot, I could not even see the zones created (I run ls and nothing showed up). After the reboot, the example code worked like a charm ( thanks :) - for the great work on this - default backlit in Omen is sh*t ) !
