Hello,
Thanks for the feedback
I thought it would be possible to make a webmanager with pterodactyl.
For my personal knowledge, why wouldn't it be possible to create an “Egg” to host a web manager with a website included, for example?
Thanks
@DTX-Customs While it is possible to host a website with Pelican/Pterodactyl, this organization typically doesn't entertain creating or maintaining them for two major reasons:
- Even with turn-key deployment in the panel, it is usually difficult for most end-users to configure them correctly with regards to reverse-proxies, headers, ports, etc.
- Pelican & Pterodactyl are designed with the intent of hosting game servers; not webservers. Better panels already exist for webhosting (ie. cPanel, Portainer, etc.).
I didn't immediately close this issue because I always like to gauge community interest and ease of implementation first before closing.
