Navigate map markers by text sequence

In some instances it would be really useful to be able to have a dynamic map, by which I mean that you could click to see the next place mentioned in the text and the map changes to reflect that choice. It would be particularly useful for viewing itineraries, so you could "move" around the map in (textual) order. My specific use case is a map of Homer's catalogue of ships in the Iliad. At the moment, the map provides a "snapshot" view of all the places. What I would like is the capacity to "walk" around the places as and when they're mentioned—a ground up view, as it were.

Is it ok to adapt the title? Note: this is non-trivial for TEI, so probably would only become available for .txt documents in the mid run.

absolutely. That's a much better title.

Yes, it would be good if it could work for TEI as well, but let's start with what we can.
