Whatsapp with username now instead of number

With the new WhatsApp update, currently in beta, the number will no longer work or perhaps it will work in parallel with the username, where you will no longer need a phone number, has anyone tested this new function?

Describe the solution you'd like.

Being able to use the lib and not break it for people who don't have a phone number
