SDDM no longer operates in Wayland mode after installing this

I really don't know if this is the fault of this particular package or not, but I don't know what else it could have been.

I am on Arch Linux (EndeavourOS) which by default uses SDDM as the greeter. I had it configured to run under Wayland, because when it is run under X11 it doesn't display the login screen on my primary monitor.

After installing this and enabling the nvx.service unit, I can no longer run SDDM under Wayland. It just hangs on a blank non-interactive terminal with nothing but a flashing cursor.

I can't find any log file anywhere on the system that indicates why this is happening, so I am completely at a loss as to what is happening.

What changes does this program make to my system that I can go and possibly revert?
