I would say so it has been failing since Aug 15th in each nightly test. I will share a link to diagnostics from our build system out of band.
Do we need to skip the tests for the stack versions that have not received the patch?

We have currently no plans to adjust the naming. But we do have instructions how to move from YAML manifests to a Helm installation here https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/cloud-on-k8s/current/k8s-install-helm.html#k8s-migrate-to-helm
