Hi. Is there a way to install/compile/flag libtiff to support > 4GB files? Thanks, catubc

One needs to use C libtiff library version 4.x, see http://www.simplesystems.org/libtiff/bigtiffpr.html Can you confirm that you were using libtiff version 3.x when seeing the failure?

I'm having this failure with: python library: libtiff==0.4.2 libtiff version 4.0.9

Error is: "TIFFAppendToStrip: Maximum TIFF file size exceeded." This occurs when I'm writing repeatedly (adding pages) to the same TIFF and it crosses the size threshold.

EDIT: Solution is to open the tif using mode="w8": https://blogs.mathworks.com/steve/2013/08/07/tiff-bigtiff-and-blockproc/ .
