Optimise story editor on mobile

Issue

ATM we use cards for our story editor designs, but on mobile this eats up vital screen space... Considering that >50% of our traffic is on mobile, we need to think about these small optimisations for makers.

Solution

  • Create unified header with back button + Edit/Preview tabs
  • Remove cards and create 16px padding of elements to the side.
  • Remove cards from "Templates" and "Drafts" and have them listed at the bottom of the page...

Came across this design for an editor for mobile. Think it makes sense as you'll be scrolling past this toolbar and you need to be able to often access it's functions.
