Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I don't believe this is currently related to a problem but poetry2nix already exists and my org happens to use pdm. I would be there is a huge amount of overlap between the two projects.

Not currently frustrated but the work simply doesn't exist yet

Describe the solution you'd like

A pdm2nix repo that people could use to seed nix shells/OS from pyproject.toml and pdm.lock

This is a good proposal, but personally I don't have the energy to complete it. It would be great if someone is willing to contribute.

This would be amazing to have. I use Nix to install python + other development utilities.

FWIW I've had a lot of problems with poetry2nix which is how I ended up coming across pdm (glad I did!). As a first pass I'm going to try and use dream2nix which 🤞 just works...

I also believe that using PDM export along with dream2nix is a good solution
