Proposal for Adding Cap and CP Keys to Polygon and Polyline Annotations for Caption Support
It is suggested to add support for the Cap and CP keys to the Polygon and Polyline annotation dictionary entries. Measurement attributes require this entry, for example, if I need to measure their area. Attachment is an sample file. I suggest let's add this to PDF standard. Measure_sample.pdf
(Title correction: Cap entry, not CAP. And its for Caption support, not measurement (that is the use-case)). Also need to consider CO entry from Table 178 (Line annot) too, as well as how to ensure the positioning of the caption text is sufficiently clearly defined to be identical between all implementations (that may mean restricting to polyline only and prohibiting curve c operators as PDF does not define how to position text along curves).
