I tried to install the driver manually; however, I got a binary (brdcpt300filter) that I could not decode, and the printer failed.

Hello @ivangelion68, the printer you've linked DCP-T300 is an Ink Tank Printer. Unfortunately this brlaser driver only supports monochrome laser printers, so your printer type is not supported.
