Would be great to have a top level overview picture on how composer as a service works,

Which parts of the composer story will be executed on the remote side and which are still local ?

Maybe I am dumb, but I also find that the readme is a bit short: what happens after you start the app on port 9000? do you get a web console to use instead of running composer on the cli ? a set of cli commands ? is the default composer command automatically remote-enabled ?
