!date, !time, !pom not working

The !date and !time commands don't produce any output. In the output of !pom, the first part (before the period) is missing, as in

[15:29] !pom [15:29] <Rodney> . Full moon in NetHack in 7 days.

Recently, ChrisE hypothesized that the problem might be that Rodney is unable to run commands. Looking at the source, it seems likely that this is correct, as !date and !time seem to use `date` and the first part of !pom seems to come from `/usr/games/pom`.
