Left Align Verse Numbers

Is there any ability built in somehow to left-align lyrics verse numbers such as you might see at the start of the piece in a hymnal?

There is a proposed syntax described here: https://abcnotation.com/wiki/abc:standard:v2.2#numbering I don't support moving the numbers to the left edge yet, but I'll put it on my list.

You can start using the syntax now: the number will appear with the first word.

The syntax is to start the line with a number and have a tilde in the first "word", like this:

w: 1.~Three blind mice
w: 2.~See how~they run
