Scroll to comic by number

It'd be nice if there was a way to jump to a particular comic (by number?). Search is ok, but temporary. If you just want to scroll the main list to (say) comic 500, it's currently a PITA.

Possible UIs include entering a number in the search bar, using a table view index (but what are the indices?), a button plus alert view (ick), probably others...

Yes, my apologies. I did a bad/cursory job writing this up. Is it reasonably clear what the intent is here?

It stems from emails from users saying "I am reading the comics one at a time, and I'm at comic 300, why do you make me painfully scroll through hundreds of emails to get to comic 300?".
