UI glitching when cutting video in timeline.

Open R4to0 opened this issue 7 months ago • 8 comments

Hello, first thanks for this amazing editor!

EDIT: Actually, just clicking selection mode dropdown box will trigger this.

Now to the issue: sometimes when I'm messing with the editor it happen to just glitch out of nowhere, blinking white or corrupting or something like that. I don't know if my system is the cause since I haven't found anyone else here with the same issue.

The easiest way I found to replicate is to cut the video in the timeline then trying to select a mode for the selection. It also happens randomly with other actions sometimes.

Shutter Encoder version 19.0 AMD Radeon RX 6600 Windows 11 Pro 64-bit.

Thanks, Rafael.

Hi Rafael,

Try to use the OpenGL shortcut it should resolve your issue.

Paul.

It seems to works (with -Dsun.java2d.opengl=true, I use the portable version), however I can't maximize the window anymore, and if I do I can't interact with the UI anymore until I double click at top:

Never saw that before! I have no idea why resizing is not working...

the exact same thing is happening to me, it seems to happen randomly after pressing UI options, makes it basically unusable

This happens to me as well, I am using a 1440p monitor.

I've had the same issue for months. I think it's possible that the glitching starts occurring when/because the NVIDIA overlay recognizes it as a game/fullscreen app and activates. It seems like the glitching starts right when that happens. I just disabled the NVIDIA overlay and the problem went away for at least the couple minutes I was testing.
