Additional quantity multiplier field on Purchase

I use the barcode scanner a lot, and it works really nice. The only issue I have is that the quantity amount recorded in the barcode represents only one item of the type. For example, 500g yogurt. But if I buy, let's say 3x500g I have to enter 1500g.

What I am asking for is a field where I can enter the '3' multiplier.

This will also help when inserting the barcode for the first time. Now I have to purchase 500g and an additional 1000g in a new purchase if I want the correct amount in the barcode.

Thanks, this would mean an additional field on a page where even now are too many fields to be a user friendly interface... 😄 So for that we would need an idea how this could be implemented in a way which is not too cluttered for the UI.

This is my local client I use to automatically fetch receipts from Lidl and purchase all items in bulk. The quantity is presented in 3 connected fields, I guess if it was similarly done in one line in the Android app, it would look slick. I guess it will not add extra effort for the users since that field would have a default value of 1. Please take my suggestion with a grain of salt since clearly I am not as good at UI design as you are.
